Successful? Culture? He hasn’t had an above .500 season since 2008. He was gifted his SB in Tampa and had enough sense to know to take the MNF job as soon as it was offered. Media built him up with the Chucky image but he is not even a good coach, much less a successful one. I Hope he lasts longer than Urban so I can collect on 15k on urban first coach gone.
Why is it anytime someone gets called out for bigotry they proclaim that “they don’t have a racist bone in their body.” We all have prejudices. Just makes the accused look even worse. Better off apologizing or not apologizing and stop answering questions about it.
I agree, he's way too old school. He's not horrible, but he's not great. As for the comment he made, it does sound like a racial joke. But who knows the context. I don't think a joke is the end all that makes one a racist all on its own, but he could be, don't know him so I don't really know. I think racism is more about systemic oppression, than saying a joke, depending on the context of course. Everyone has prejudices and biases, but not everyone wants to oppress people.
